I shared this on my personal Facebook page and thought you guys might want to see it also.
On September 17, 2017, Scott Jones, Jeremy Grev and Jake Gray decided to do 62 miles in honor of my dad, Scott Jones on what would have been his 63rd birthday. I know it was my brother’s idea to run (because he gets some awesomely crazy ideas) and I think Jeremy came up with the name (Grateful Suffering). I filmed and photographed a lot of it. My mom, Cathy Jones, and I were the “crew”, so we stayed with them to help as long as we could drive where they were. I was up for over 24 hours (with a 1 hour nap somewhere in there). The guys didn’t get naps.
We had some amazing people with us along the way too. So thankful to Anne-Marie Jones, Steve Jones, Lauren Jones, LeRoy Sedillos and Jay Schwerman (and our kiddos of course) for all coming to support the guys and honor my dad. ❤️❤️
My dad always taught me to be strong and fight for what I believed in and what was right. He and my mom showed me what it was to love someone with everything you have. I miss him more than words can say.
Hope you all like.
P.S. I haven’t edited/filmed a video since high school. Just thought you guys should know.

Here are some photos that I took also. These few were from the night before the run. We sat around and laughed a lot.
Early in the morning (around 3am) out at Spruce Knob. It was cold and peaceful.
They were off and running soon after this shot. And ran in the dark for a few hours. There were food/drinks stops along the way.
This was us waiting for them to get off the trail.
We stopped real quick and some of us went into the water for a few. I remember this spot from when we were little. We would walk up the road and tube down the rapids here.
This was up at Dolly Sods. It was dark and quiet. It’s one of my dad’s favorite spots.
At the end of the road.
