DOLLY SODS \ DOUGLAS FALLS
ABOUT RAVELLA+RHYS
When we met with the two of them on our first call, we realized they were from Shannon’s hometown in Florida and knew some of the same people! How fun is that?! We never meet anyone that actually knows where Fort Myers/Cape Coral is located.
They met and dated in high school, did the long distance thing and their love made it through it all! They are such a sweet couple and you can see how much they love each other and take care of each other. We had such an amazing time with them and their day was beautiful!

HOW THEY MET: (from Ravella)
We were seated next to each other in 9th grade English class. Rhys was smitten and asked Ravella out 4 weeks after meeting her. She declined. But then she asked him out two years later! We were much closer friends at that point lol. We dated 1000 miles apart from each other through college, then we worked at a sandwich shop together, we moved again when Ravella went to grad school, and now we live in Pittsburgh!
HOW THE PROPOSAL HAPPENED: (from Ravella)
Rhys surprised Ravella with a weekend trip to West Virginia along with our dog, Olive. We walked through Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls and we explored the towns of Elkins and Davis. Rhys proposed at night around the campfire :)
THE VIBE FOR THE DAY:
Cute nature vibes. Kinda hippie-ish.

ELOPEMENT
We started in Davis, WV at a cute little Airbnb and then headed out the Dolly Sods Wilderness for the sunrise. It was foggy, but so pretty out! There were only a couple other people out at Bear Rocks, which doesn’t normally happen in August. It was absolutely perfect though!
They shared their vows and we wandered around the area and found some beautiful spots and the lighting was gorgeous! We headed to Douglas Falls after for some waterfall photos with their beautiful pup too. The falls did not disappoint! Such an epic spot that’s always beautiful!
Congrats! We are so happy for you!! Thank you so much for having us there for your beautiful day!
