BLACKWATER FALLS SNOW GLOBE ELOPEMENT

To say this day was a fairytale is not enough. It was like a snow globe out and it was a day filled with so much snow, freezing wind, hiking and adventuring, hand warmers, yummy cake, some sweet champagne and lots of love. We started early at the tiny home in Thomas. It was dark out and the snow was coming down hard, but that didn’t stop a thing.

We hung out at the tiny home while R+C got ready for their day. Chill music, coffee and sweet conversation was had as they were getting ready to say their vows to each other in a couple hours. We headed out to the trail in Blackwater Falls, when it was still a little dark out and once we got there, we all got ready with our microspikes and yaktraks, jackets, and many handwarmers in pockets, gloves and anywhere else to keep us warm. There was a few inches of ice under all the snow, so walking on the trails was definitely better with the spikes/yaktrax.

When we got to the overlook, the wind was blowing harder and it honestly felt like -40 out. Their ceremony was so sweet and was a good source of tears. (After the ceremony, I couldn’t even move my mouth, pretty sure it was frozen.) We took some more photos and hiked back to the cars for some more adventuring through the park. It did not stop snowing at all and was beautiful out the entire time.

R+C, we are so thankful for being there to capture your love and all the little moments of the day. You two have hearts of gold and we are so happy for your future together. We are also so happy you were able to celebrate your love, the way you wanted. Thank you so much for having us there!
