ABOUT LILLY+JUSTIN

HOW THEY MET:

We had mutual friends, but had never met. After the first “hey what’s up?”lol We couldn’t be apart no matter how stubborn one of us was. I was not looking for a relationship, but he was so charming and we had a gazillion things in common, so I said yes when he asked me to a car show. If he would have asked to dinner or a movie I would have said no, but I love a good car show! Little did I know, the car show was a bust and there was only 1 car that showed up besides us and his friends. He was an absolute mess with it being the first time we had met and a terrible show, but we still have a good laugh about that first car show he took me to. The day was still so nice and the first of many of our car shows together!

HOW THE PROPOSAL HAPPENED:

He proposed to me at our favorite truck show! After weeks of all hands on deck, long nights, and barely making it in time to get my truck ready for a big truck show in NC we made it! All of our friends loaded up and we made it to the show with the truck! That evening after the show it was just me and him down at the lake at our Air BNB and he asked me to marry him. Best day of my life! I couldn’t have imagined a better weekend to tell Justin I would marry him!

THE ATMOSPHERE:

I am looking to create a very rustic chic atmosphere. Justin and I both have a love for cars, shop, and equipment and hope to take the look of rusty gears and bring an elegance to it for the decor. *I know it sounds crazy but trust the process!!!

They each got ready at the same house, in different locations, so they wouldn’t run into each other. The house is pretty perfect for that for sure and it was a beautiful start to the day!

We drove to Blackwater Falls for the ceremony. It was sunny and beautiful out! Totally perfect for a wedding day!

We wandered around Blackwater Falls at Pendleton Point for some fun photos after the ceremony.

We drove to Canaan and ended up hiking at Dolly Sods and got some amazing sunset photos! We even got to pop some champagne to celebrate!

After, we headed to the rental cabin for some food, dancing and fun times! It was absolutely gorgeous and Lilly did such an amazing job with her vision! She actually made the tables and came up with the look and included some of their favorite details. SO COOL!
