CANAAN/DOLLY SODS INTIMATE WEDDING | EMILY+DAVE

Emily and Dave met each other first by being neighbors. They started out as friends for many years and then they “finally figured it out”. After living together for 5 years, they decided to celebrate their love together in Canaan Valley with close family and friends to make it really meaningful. Planning a wedding from Canada isn’t the easiest, but it was an absolutely beautiful day.

The day started in Davis, WV at a cute little cabin. While Emily was getting ready, Dave headed to Stumptown for some drinks. Perfect idea! After getting ready, we all headed to Dolly Sods for some amazing first look photos. Dave ran to the top of the mountain while Emily hid behind some trees at the top. He looked so excited for this moment.

The two met at the top. Emily walked towards Dave (with their adorable dog Phoebe) and they embraced as they saw each other. After their moment at the top, we headed to their ceremony spot in Canaan. All their friends and family were ecstatic to see them and they chatted for a bit before the ceremony with music from Jesse Milnes+Emily Miller playing during it all (so perfect for the location and all the moments — they are amazing!).

The ceremony started with a walk from the reception area, through the forest, to the location. We love these kind of walks, it makes it all so epic. The ceremony was so sweet with their speeches and quotes from Keats. They also had a meaningful handfasting ceremony. Flower confetti was thrown in the air as the two walked back to the reception.

The night was full of great conversation, lots of wine, sweet moments, amazing food and desserts from Fish Hawk Acres (their risotto is to die for!), design/florals from Ella+Company, and great music from Jesse+Emily.

We are so happy for you both. Thank you so much for having us there on your beautiful day.
