ABOUT AMANDA+ZACH
A+Z met in Morgantown and reconnected years later, during 2020. They are the sweetest couple and so much fun! They planned the perfect day with the sweetest guests. They were so intentional about everything and it was perfect.
We started in the early morning, near Bear Rocks in Dolly Sods, at a cute cabin that we LOVE. It is beautifully designed and so perfect for elopements. After they got ready, we headed to the Dolly Sods Wilderness for the sunrise ceremony at Bear Rocks. It was so beautiful and we were above the clouds.
After the ceremony, we headed to Canaan Valley for a brunch/reception with the best food, design, music and company. There was even a tattoo artist to give the guests and A+Z a new tattoo (we even got some)! Take a peek at all the beauty of the day.

HOW THEY MET: (from Amanda)
We met at 123 in Morgantown after Zach played a show. We were both in relationships when we first met, but reconnected years later during the pandemic.
HOW THE PROPOSAL HAPPENED: (from Amanda)
In the kitchen at home right after Christmas. Zach had planned to propose on either Christmas Eve or Christmas, but the ring showed up late!! The ring was delivered and Zach rushed home from work. I was taking some time off from work during the holidays and catching up on dishes. Zach came up behind me and proposed. My first thought was, “oh my god, I’m in sweatpants” hahahah. It was perfect for us though. Totally just in the throws of regular life.
THE VIBE FOR THE DAY:
New beginnings – ceremony / hand-fasting. Our reception theme is “moody Appalachian tea party in the mountains”. :)

We started at a cabin close to Bear Rocks in Dolly Sods. It’s one of our favorite places in the area. The design and location are perfect for getting ready and accessing Dolly Sods.

We drove to the top of Dolly Sods and had the ceremony at Bear Rocks. It was a beautiful morning, with a gorgeous sunrise and we were above all the clouds as the sun came up.

We wandered around Bear Rocks in Dolly Sods. You can’t tell, but it was packed with people/photographers. The sunrise and fall colors were amazingly gorgeous!

We went back to the cabin to grab some photos during the day and the light did NOT disappoint. It was beautiful!
the reception – brunch
After the cabin, we headed to Canaan Valley at a beautiful home for the brunch reception. The decor, food, music and vibes were all wonderful! They even had an amazing tattoo artist so everyone could get a tattoo! (we even got one)

They got into a beautiful canoe and paddled the pond for a little bit and then had a floral confetti send off. It was beautiful and so much fun!
