MARTINSBURG INTIMATE WEDDING

You guys…Kristin + Josh’s wedding was one that will go down in history! We knew it was going to be raining, but really weren’t sure how bad it was going to be. We left early to get to Orr’s Farm in Martinsburg, just in case there was going to be some flooding along the way. We picked up some umbrellas, rain coats and anything else we thought would help with the day. From the time we got there, to the time we left, I don’t think there was more than a 5-minute break from the rain. When I say rain, I really mean monsoon.

Kristin + Josh planned their wedding from Texas. I loved hearing how the proposal happened. Josh proposed to her at Gruene Hall in San Marcos (near Austin). If you have ever lived in Austin, you have to visit Gruene Hall after going tubing down the Guadalupe River. It’s amazing!

I have to tell you, Kristin + Josh totally took the weather in stride. They both repeatedly said it is what it is and were totally awesome about all the rain. I just kept telling everyone to act like we were in Ireland. I think it worked! It was so sweet and intimate. You could tell how much everyone cares about each other. At the end of the day, it all worked out the way it should have and I believe things always happen for a reason. We are so happy that we met so many amazing people. We had such a wonderful time with all of their friends and family.

Because of the rain, Kristin was hiding out, before the ceremony in the car with her family.

When Josh’s best friends surprised him by flying in for the wedding! So happy!

Kristin’s nephew was adorable!

Thank you both for allowing us to capture your amazing wedding day! We are so happy for your future together!!
