Mellissa and Andrew’s wedding day is one that I will always remember. I remember them all (of course), but there are little bits of things here and there that I always think of after a wedding day. It was a rainy day and by rain, I mean it ended up being quite like a monsoon. We had breaks in the beginning, but towards the end of the ceremony and for most of the evening it was non-stop!
We started out at Chanteclaire in the farmhouse and cabin while Mellissa and Andrew were getting ready. They had a “first look” which was a beautiful time and then we had more time for portraits of them together and with their family and friends.
The ceremony was so sweet and touching. Their friends and family were all teary-eyed, during the vows especially. Mellissa and Andrew have been through so much together, with her cancer diagnosis, and their love is so strong through it all! They found such sweet ways to tell each other how much they love each other in front of their loved ones.
Towards the end of the ceremony it started to rain. Normally I would have worried, but I felt like it would hold off a tad longer. It did. The rain actually makes the end of the ceremony look amazing with the droplets of water coming down from the sky.
The reception came next, with so many wonderful dances and speeches. It was a beautiful night spent with so many amazing people! I love how intimate it felt, even with so many people. You could really feel the love. Congrats to you both! We are so unbelievably happy for you!! Thank you for having us there to document your love!
First Looks are becoming my favorite time. Such a quiet and peaceful time for Mellissa+Andrew to be together alone before the ceremony.
