THOMAS, WV + BLACKWATER FALLS AUTUMN INTIMATE WEDDING – EMMALIE+DYLAN
Blackwater Falls in the fall is pretty amazing. The colors were showing off for Emmalie+Dylan’s wedding day. They wanted something small and intimate and their day was perfect. In Emmalie’s words, “We want there to be an intimate and cozy atmosphere where you can feel all the love. Our inspiration for the day is really a whimsical boho yet simple, rustic, cozy vibe.”
We love hearing how the proposal happened! Here’s the story from Emmalie:
“Dylan planned a trip to Texas for us to visit one of his best friends (Rango, who will be at the wedding) over St. Patricks Day weekend. We were also celebrating both of our birthdays (Dylans – March 20th Emmalies – March 28). Little did I know that we were going to Texas to celebrate something totally different. Rango and Dylan had planned together for months, scouted locations, and decided on the best place to purpose. Our day started with going to Fort Worth and visiting the Stockyards and ended with going to Live! in Arlington. Dylan, very nervously, proposed outside by a water fountain in front of the Cowboys stadium at sunset. He had a ring custom made and engraved months before the proposal. :)”
We started the day off at the rental above TipTop coffee shop in Thomas, WV called Over the Top. The lighting was so perfect and it’s such a beautiful space. We then headed out to Douglas Falls for their first look. We managed to have the place to ourselves for a little bit, which was amazing because it gets pretty busy there on nice days! The first look was so sweet and emotional.
We dropped by downtown Thomas for a bit too and then headed over to Blackwater Falls for the ceremony and dinner. The sunset was beautiful and we headed out to Lindy Falls for some sunset photos, followed by dinner at the lodge with some more evening photos on the mountain.
We had such an amazing time with everyone! Congrats again you two, we’re so happy for you!
