CANAAN VALLEY + DOLLY SODS INTIMATE WEDDING | ASHLEY+CHAD

There is something so special about Canaan Valley, WV weddings. There is a quiet there, you don’t get everywhere. Anytime we have weddings there, we love how remote it feels. Ashley+Chad had a vision of their day, with their closest family+friends, and it was such a sweet and perfect day. They wanted “Fun celebration of our love and relationship together with our close family and friends in the mountains we love!” They definitely got that and we couldn’t have asked for better weather either!

HOW THEY MET (from Ashley):

Chad and I met while working together where we formed a friendship over several years. From there our friendship grew into a loving relationship and we haven’t looked back since!

HOW THE PROPOSAL HAPPENED (from Ashley):

Chad proposed after dating for 2 years on 12/23/19 at our favorite restaurant, The Buckley House, in Marietta, Ohio. Chad surprised me as we talked about future marriage, but he went ring shopping on his own.

They had a forest ceremony and then we headed up to Dolly Sods Wilderness for a little hike for some photos. It was gorgeous up there! We also went to a lake for a bit and then headed back to the house. As we were heading back, we saw a ton of deer in the fields, so we got some photos with them too. So fun! The night was amazing. Great food from Fish Hawk Acres and the music kept the party going. We ended the evening with some campfire photos. It was a perfect ending.
