DEEP CREEK LAKE BACKYARD WEDDING

Sarah and Matt’s wedding day was perfect. It was super relaxed, which is my favorite kind of wedding! The setup was amazing and they made it what they wanted it to be. They wanted the wedding to be relaxed, but elegant. They wanted to embrace the outdoors, but maintain a touch of class. They didn’t want simply textbook wedding elements; they wanted the atmosphere to be festive, authentic, and relaxed–but sharp.

I have found that so many of my Deep Creek Lake (area) weddings are couples who don’t live in the area. The majority of them have been coming to the lake since they were little. Sarah and has been coming the Deep Creek with her family for almost 20 years.  They wanted to endear their guests to a place where they have had so many moments and memories. The wedding party took a boat ride to the ceremony.Talk about amazing! They had friends who offered their property for the ceremony, which was gorgeous and like a painting (so perfect)!

The ceremony was so meaningful. They had Matt’s godmother/aunt officiate. They also had some readings from family members and some singing, which was beautiful! After the ceremony, we headed on to their reception. It was amazing and filled with so many beautiful words from their family and friends. Their dances were so sweet (they danced to Harvest Moon) and then the party started!

It was an amazing day. Relaxed. Sweet. And full of love.

Thank you Sarah+Matt for allowing me to capture your love. Congratulations to you both! So happy for you!!
